Our Practice
Patient comfort was the top priority for the design of our practice, a beautifully refitted charming Californian bungalow located at 9 Elmira Avenue in Palmerston North. We've created an environment that is as home-like as possible, while maintaining the highest professional standards necessary for our state-of-the-art orthodontic facility.
We don't look like a hospital, in fact we don't even smell like a hospital! Our rooms actually smell more like a lolly factory because of the multi-scented gloves we wear.
Our Team
Mike practiced as a general dentist for 10 years before returning to Otago University, where he was one of only three students selected to undertake the Master's Course in Orthodontics. On completion of his course in 1994, Mike returned to Palmerston North to set up Courtney Orthodontics.
Jemma has been working at Courtney Orthodontics since August 2013. She works closely with patients, answers phone calls, schedules appointments, and assists Mike by taking records including full facial photos and impressions.
Sharon joined the team in May 2013 having come from a long history of working as a dental assistant in general practice for many years.
Leah-Anne joined the team at Courtney Orthodontics as our Receptionist in August 2014. Leah-Anne enjoys meeting all our patients and seeing improvements throughout the course of their treatments.
